What this test measures

Are you the one who turns every outing into a game, or the one quietly watching from the edge until the moment is right? This quiz matches the way you handle everyday situations to one of six animals.

You get fifteen situations, from arriving at a party where you know nobody to facing a big decision, each with four ways to react. Every reaction belongs to one of the animals: the playful otter, the patient heron, the clever raven, the steadfast badger, the quick hare and the big-hearted elephant. The animal you pick most often is yours.

How it is built

This is a quiz for fun, but it is built fairly. Each situation offers four of the six animals, and across the fifteen situations every animal is offered exactly ten times, every two animals meet equally often, and no animal gets the first or last answer more than the others. So your result comes from what you chose, not from how the questions happened to be laid out. If two animals tie for first place, the result shows both.

The six animals and their descriptions are our own. They are characters for a quiz, not symbols from any spiritual or cultural tradition.

What your result contains

Your free result shows your animal with a short description. The full report adds your score for all six animals, what your animal says about how you handle people and problems, its strengths and weak spots, two tips, and a PDF to keep or share. The quiz is free; the full report is one payment, no subscription.

What it is and is not

This is a quiz for fun. It is not a personality test in the scientific sense, it is not psychology, and it has nothing to do with spiritual practice. Take it with friends and see who turns out to be the badger.

If you want another light one, try the Mental Age Test. For something with more depth, the Narcissism Test follows the structure of a published research questionnaire.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Spirit Animal Test.

How long does the Spirit Animal Test take?

About three minutes. There are fifteen situations with four answers each.

What does the Spirit Animal Test measure?

Which of six animal characters (otter, heron, raven, badger, hare or elephant) best matches the choices you make in fifteen everyday situations. Your animal and a short description are free; your scores for all six and the full report are one payment, no subscription.

Is this a real psychological test?

No. It is a quiz for fun. It is built so that no animal is favoured by the layout of the questions, but it does not follow any psychological instrument and makes no scientific claim.

Is this connected to any spiritual tradition?

No. "Spirit animal" is used here as the everyday phrase people search for. The six animals are characters we wrote for this quiz.

What if I get two animals?

Then you are a mix, and the result shows both as a shared first place. Most people have a bit of several animals in them.

Can I retake it, and is my data private?

Retake it as often as you like; a different mood can bring out a different animal. Your answers are scored in your browser, and we do not sell personal data.
